Getting Up After a Fall

Approximately .15 miles into this morning’s 8.5 mile run, Chelsey took a slight tumble. I tripped, tried to regain my footing, fell forwarded, skidded my hands into the pavement but managed to role my body onto the grass to prevent any more scrapes.

It was pretty dramatic.

I had a choice. Let the fall get the best of me, go home and try again tomorrow, OR, get up, brush it off and truck along.

Today, I chose to truck.

Now, if you fall and are seriously hurt, you SHOULD call it a day. No reason to run while hurt.

But today’s scrapes were not enough reason to hold me back.

Happy Hump Day!
