The First Run Back

The two weeks after my marathon were filled with a wedding in Florida, two work trips, a week long cold and possibly the longest few days at work in my career. Needless to say I haven’t been hitting the gym.

Honestly, mentally and physically I just needed a break.

Yesterday I hit the treadmill for the first time since the race.

I ran a really solid three miles – no breaks – switching between speeds ranging from 6.1 to 7.5.

6 months ago I couldn’t even run one mile on the treadmill.

It’s all mental.

It’s all mental.

No really, it’s all mental. You can do it!

That’s not just motivation for you, it’s what i say to myself over and over again to push through.

It’s still October so it;s still the #31for31 Challenge! There is still time to join!
