This weekend I celebrated by 28th birthday and another amazing, #blessed year. I traveled to amazing places with my husband, ran my first half marathon, ran my first full marathon, I started my blog, I made new friends, visited old friends and spent time with the ones I love. Hell, I met David Letterman this year!
As I tip toed into 28, I couldn’t help but think of the last remaining years in my twenties.
It’s not that I’m not ready to grow up, or even that I’m not happy with where I am at 28, because I am! Great family, great husband, great job, great home – not to brag or anything. It’s more that I want to really crush my twenties. Show them who is boss. Show that young 21 year-old who only cared about having the best costume at themed parties, what rocking your twenties are all about. (Not that I’m actually giving up themed parties though, to be clear). So I decided to run away from my twenties, and into 30 like a wrecking ball. (Love you Miley)
3,000 before 30
Today, let it be written that I, the Hungry Runner, will run 3,000 Kilometers (1864.114 miles) before I turn 30 on December 20th 2017.
2.5 miles a day. Now, that may not seem like a lot, but factor in rest days, sick days, travel days, recovery days, lifting days, and we’ve got a pretty hefty goal ahead.
Here’s to the next two year providing great blog content, great motivation and great health as I literally and emotionally run out of my twenties.
